Arabic calligraphy letterforms in burgundy ink

محمد اللبدي

I am

a CS major and calligrapher. One practice asks for patience with ink; the other asks for clarity in code. This site holds both. I study systems that should stay quiet and reliable, and I spend equal time measuring letters until the hand slows down. Between Ithaca and the studio, I move from terminals to paper without treating either as a side project. Most days start with problems that want a clean interface, and end with strokes that refuse to be rushed. If you are here for work, look at the coding projects. If you are here for craft, look at the calligraphy or the photography. Either way, stay a moment - the good parts take a little light to see.

Right now

I'm building backend systems and AI-powered software - automation tools for contractors, APIs that hold a product together, and the glue between payments, databases, and messaging. Outside of work I'm polishing this site, grinding LeetCode, and reading up on system design and cloud infrastructure so the next thing I ship is steadier than the last. See the coding section for featured work, or get in touch.
